Ivanovo farmers harvested more than 90 tons of berries last year
February 3rd. /MEDIA TALK/. The government of the Ivanovo region summed up the results of berry harvesting in 2024. A total of 92.6 tons of berries were obtained. This is 6.2% higher than in 2023.

Shuisky farms harvested 44.9 tons of berries, Komsomolsk farms received 38.3 tons of berries, Yuryevetsky farms - about 6 tons and Lezhnevsky farms - 3.4 tons. Currants and honeysuckle have become the most popular. Ivanovo farmers are also engaged in the cultivation of strawberries, raspberries and gooseberries.

Every year, interest in berry cultivation has been growing among representatives of agriculture For 7 years, the area of fruit and berry plots in the region has grown 19 times and amounted to almost 75 hectares.

The largest berry farm was the Potapov family farm in the Lezhnevsky district. The area of the plantings is 38.5 hectares. In second place is the Shuisky Berries farm, which occupies 20.8 hectares.

The region provides support to the fruit and berry sector. It also provides subsidies for perennial plantings, grants for family farms, and preferential loans. Preferential leasing is also available to farms.

In 2024, producers of fruit and berry crops received 8.6 million rubles in support. This year, 13.5 million rubles will be allocated to farms, the Ivanovo regional government said.

It should be recalled that the state support of the Ivanovo agricultural industry will reach 1.6 billion rubles this year.
