Lipetsk manufacturer Aegis became a participant in the national project "Labor Productivity". As part of the ongoing work, experts from the Regional Competence Center trained the plant's employees in the basics of lean technologies. The new competencies will be applied in a pilot format in the production and processing of polyurethane foam.
The team involved in the project analyzed the assigned area, identified losses and offered tools that will help improve the process. Due to the corrections, production increased by almost 11%, and stocks of finished goods were reduced by 12.5%. Also, the duration of the process was reduced by 12.7%. After the introduction of lean technologies at the pilot site, the company will apply the experience gained to others.

The Aegis enterprise is engaged in the production and supply of polyurethane foam, fabrics, adhesives and components for upholstered furniture. The plant is a resident of the Lipetsk special economic zone and supplies its goods to the CIS markets, the Dobrinskie Vesti portal reports.
