According to the <url> newspaper, the Depdorkhoz of Yugra and Avtomaz are bound by a contract for the supply of 165 buses for Nizhnevartovsk. The Investigative Committee checked the purchase and found that the equipment was purchased at an inflated cost. Each car cost 18 million rubles instead of the average market cost of 15 million rubles. This caused damage to the budget of 800 million rubles.
Criminal cases have been opened against the employees of the department who allowed the purchase. In addition, the head of Avtovaz became involved in a particularly large-scale fraud case. The investigation believes that he resold the equipment in order to withdraw budget money.
