The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region has approved the procedure in which companies building gas stations and converting cars to gas will receive subsidies. The region will spend 76.3 million rubles on this by the end of the year.
Subsidies will help make the conversion of cars to environmentally friendly fuel more affordable, and refueling more convenient. The conversion of cars to methane meets the goals of the national project "Ecology".
Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs will be able to receive subsidies. The funds are intended to reimburse the costs of construction of methane gas stations. The recipient will be selected through a competition.

For this, the regional authorities will attract 50.4 million from the federal budget in 2024 and 2025. The regional financing of the program will amount to 21.6 million rubles per year. This money will make it possible to build two gas stations per year.
Companies engaged in the conversion of cars, buses and municipal equipment to gas can also apply for subsidies. 4.3 million rubles are planned for this in 2024, and 10 million rubles in 2025. The allocated funds will allow the conversion of about 100 vehicles, the press service of the Government of the Sverdlovsk region reports.
