The volume of shipments of tangerines from China could not exceed shipments of New Year's treats from Turkey in 2024. At the same time, China was ahead of Morocco in this indicator.
From January to September, at least 320,000 tons of tangerines were imported to Russia. Turkey remained the largest supplier. Ankara supplied 126,000 tons of fruit (36% of the total).

58,000 tons (17% of total shipments) were imported from South Africa, 52,000 tons (15% of imports) from Egypt, 37,000 tons of tangerines (11%) from China, and 27,000 tons (8% of total shipments) from Abkhazia.
The top 10 suppliers included Morocco (17,000 tons), Georgia (11,000 tons), Argentina (9,000 tons), Pakistan (4,000 tons) and Israel (2,000 tons).
The most expensive were tangerines from Egypt. They cost 112 rubles per kilogram. Moroccan fruits cost 40 rubles per kilogram. The average price for this period was 85 rubles per kilogram, RIA Novosti reports.
China has remained Russia's main trading partner.
