The construction of agricultural infrastructure for intensive fattening of cattle is being implemented on the initiative of Governor Georgy Filimonov, the government of the Vologda Region and the Regional Development Corporation. In 2024, an area of 4,800 hectares was allocated for these purposes.

The Meat Vologda Company will be engaged in the implementation of the investment project. She will build a complex designed for 30,000 cattle with a meat processing plant. The project will provide an opportunity to open 300 new jobs.
The complex will be built near the village of Novoe Lukino. Construction work is planned for the period from 2025 to 2028, the Krasny Sever portal reports.
