A large Russian business has decided to postpone the payment of annual bonuses due to taxes
November 1st. /MEDIA TALK/. On Friday, November 1, it became known that large business in the Russian Federation decided to postpone the payment of annual bonuses due to tax changes. So, the companies intend to give bonuses to employees in December of this year, and not at the beginning of 2025, RBC reported, citing sources.

According to the publication, thus the five-stage taxation system, which comes into force after the winter holidays, will not be applied to premiums. The trend is fixed in about a third of the country's companies from different industries. Their number is expected to grow by the end of the year.

Market experts stressed that the trend mainly affected large private organizations, since state-owned ones are tied to fixing the results of the previous year and cannot postpone the payment of bonuses at will.

It should be noted that starting from 2025, the tax burden will increase in the Russian Federation for employees with a total annual income of more than 2.4 million rubles. The five-stage system assumes an increase in contributions from 13 to 22%, depending on earnings.

Recall that in early September it was reported that Russian top managers may be compensated for an increase in personal income tax. Such a measure is seen as a way to retain the right employees.
