Banks have become 40% less likely to impose additional services on Russians
November 8. /MEDIA TALK/. The number of requests from consumers of financial services remained at the level of the previous year, according to the Central Bank. In 9 months of 2024, 241 thousand appeals were received from Russians. At the same time, banks became 40% less likely to impose additional services on their customers, and cases of misseling (fraudulently imposing services) decreased 2.7 times.

There has been an increase in complaints from customers who want to regain access to remote service. After the entry into force of the law against fraudulent transfers, banks have strengthened their control. They should refuse remote service if the customer's data turned out to be in the Central Bank's database of fraudulent transactions. Such a database is formed within the framework of information exchange with law enforcement officers. The Client can appeal against such a decision by contacting his bank or the Bank of Russia directly.

There were 31.4% fewer applications for CTP. In general, complaints about the services of insurers decreased by 27.3%. The number of complaints about the work of microfinance organizations has decreased by almost 30%.
