China remains Russia's main trading partner
January 2. /MEDIA TALK/. According to statistics from the Federal Customs Service of Russia, which RBC cites today, from January to October 2024, China became Russia's main trading partner, its share in total trade amounted to 33.8%, and the volume reached $197 billion. Mutual trade with India accounts for 8.8% of the total ($51 billion), with Turkey — 8.3% ($48 billion). Belarus is in fourth and fifth place with 7.1% and Kazakhstan with 4.0%.

The total volume of trade between Russia and other countries in the first ten months of 2024 amounted to 584 billion dollars. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, at the end of 2023, the share of friendly countries in foreign trade was more than 75%. Currently, more than 80% of Russia's international trade is accounted for by friendly states, whereas in 2021 this figure was less than half.
