Cost of warehouse insurance increased by 40% in 2025
February 17th. /MEDIA TALK/. Among the reasons, experts cite the increased frequency of fires, which led to an increase in losses for insurers by 15-25%.

To compensate for the losses, companies not only increased tariffs, but also became more selective, denying services to high-risk customers. Kommersant writes about this today.

According to insurance brokers, in 2024, tariffs for warehouse insurance ranged from 0.05–0.09% of the cost of the building. However, in 2025, minimum rates started at 0.07%, and tariffs for high-risk facilities could reach 0.7% or higher.

Experts note that the increase in tariffs increases the marginality of the insurance business, but a further significant increase is unlikely. High competition in the market and the ability of warehouse owners to shift additional costs to the cost of goods and services are holding back more radical changes.

Earlier, we wrote that in Russia in 2024, a record volume of commercial real estate was introduced - more than 6 million square meters, a significant part of which accounted for warehouse facilities.
