Economist: after the overheating of the Russian economy, the next move will be downward
August 26th. /MEDIA TALK/. On Monday, August 26, Sofia Donets, chief economist at T-Investments, said in an interview with Forbes that after the overheating of the Russian economy, the next movement "will be down." The dynamics may negatively affect the financial results of domestic companies in 2025, a reduction in ruble rates is considered a way to soften the blow, she explained to the publication.

Donets noted that one of the signs of overheating of the economy is too active consumption. Against this background, there has been a new surge in inflation, as the more citizens buy, the more sellers raise the price tags.

The expert added that the economy is in a state of uncertainty, since it is unknown whether defense tasks will be able to be solved while maintaining previously announced priorities (stability of the growth rate of the cost of goods and services and a manageable form of state finances).

Recall that last week it was reported that, according to analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank, the overheating of the economy in the Russian Federation began to decrease. Experts believe that the growth of industrial production will slow down and this trend will continue in the future.
