Euractiv reported an increase in the number of enterprises with Russian participation in Bulgaria
January 21st. /MEDIA TALK/. From September to December 2024, the number of enterprises with the participation of Russian citizens increased by 1,000.

According to information published on the Euractiv portal, with reference to data from the local trade register, over 7.3 thousand enterprises with full Russian participation and about 5.7 thousand more organizations with a 40% share of Russian shareholders were registered.

There is no official information on the number of Bulgarian companies where Russians have a controlling stake. According to Euractiv, there are currently no frozen Russian assets in Bulgaria. Bulgaria's largest company is owned by the Russian oil and gas company Lukoil. Over the past year, it has generated revenue of 7.5 billion euros from its refineries and gas station networks, which corresponds to about 7% of Bulgaria's gross domestic product, the newspaper notes.
