 Expert: reduction of oil production in Norway will lead to an increase in Russia's share in the EU energy market
January 17th. /MEDIA TALK/. A decrease in the production of oil and gas resources in Norway will lead to a strengthening of Russia's position in the global energy market, Andreas Schroeder, head of the analytical department for energy at ICIS, said in an interview with The Telegraph.

Since production was carried out at 123 sites in Norway in 1971, the number of active deposits has decreased to 92 by the end of 2023. According to information published by The Telegraph, based on a report by the Norwegian Marine Resources Management Service (NOD), the maximum export operations occurred in 2024, after which the volume of shipments will decrease.
