Experts noted an increase in the number of fraudulent calls

Online stores and medical institutions are the main sources of leaks of personal data of Russians, this opinion was expressed by Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, at a SOC forum dedicated to information security, which started today in Moscow. His words are quoted by RBC. The expert noted that about 3.5 billion lines with personal data of 90% of the adult population of the country are available online today.
At the same time, only 2% of the data leaks from credit institutions.

Leaks peaked in 2023, and the situation is gradually changing in 2024. According to Sber, a record number of fraudulent calls have been recorded this year, in addition, the attackers began to act more subtly and "professionally". According to forecasts, by the end of the year, the amount of stolen funds from the accounts of Russians may reach about 250 billion rubles.

According to the Central Bank for the second quarter of 2024, the total number of transactions after which citizens lost money amounted to almost 257 thousand.
