Exports from Turkey to Russia fell by 28 in six months%
July 31st. /MEDIA TALK/.On Wednesday, July 31, it became known that in January-June 2024, exports from Turkey to Russia fell by 28% compared to the same period in 2023. The total amount of imported goods amounted to 4.16 billion dollars, RBC reported with reference to TurkStat.

So, in June, Turkey sent various products worth $ 670 million to Russia. In the same month last year, exports from the republic were estimated at almost a billion dollars.

It should be noted that over the past few months, the media has reported problems with transferring money from Russia abroad for the supply of goods. The difficulties are related to international sanctions and the threat of secondary restrictions.

Recall that in mid-July, Turkey called for the creation of a mutual payment system with the Russian Federation. One of the Turkish politicians added that the countries need to use their national currencies mutually.
