For the first time in six years, RAO has revised the rates for background music
February 13th. /MEDIA TALK/. The Russian Copyright Society has approved new tariffs for the use of background music in public spaces.

According to RBC, the new rules provide for increased payments for a number of institutions. For example, a coffee shop with an area of 100 square meters will pay 18% more – 8 thousand rubles instead of 6 thousand 800 rubles. A restaurant of the same size will be required to deduct 8% more (also 8000 rubles). Shopping malls measuring 5,000 square meters are 12% larger than before (25.5 thousand rubles). For gyms, the tax rate remained at the same level – 9 thousand rubles.

According to the new rules, the classification of objects becomes easier. For restaurants, cafes and bars, the calculation is now determined by the area, and not solely by the type of establishment. New sections have been introduced: food courts, places where orders are received, and business centers.

The day before, we wrote that in 2024, the cost of tickets to Russian festivals increased by 75%, reaching an average of 2 thousand rubles per piece.
