The country stopped regular purchases of liquefied natural gas from the Russian Federation in April 2024. In October, imports resumed, the volume of deliveries reached 27.3 million euros, having decreased by half compared to October 2023.

At the same time, pipeline gas transportation is carried out continuously, and in October the volume of such supplies more than doubled compared to last year, amounting to 149.6 million euros. In the first ten months of this year, the total volume of imports of Russian energy resources to Greece amounted to 1.3 billion euros, a decrease of 10% compared to the previous year.
We recently reported that natural gas supplies from Russia to European countries reached 1.4 billion euros for the first time since the spring of 2022. Approximately 40% of the total volume is accounted for by liquefied natural gas.
