In 2024, 1.8 million new cars were sold in Russia.

January 5th. /MEDIA TALK/. In 2024, the number of new cars sold in Russia amounted to over 1.8 million units. Such data was published today on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. In the period from January to December 2024, car dealers sold 1 million 836 thousand 29 new vehicles (up to three years), which is 39% higher than in 2023.

Passenger car sales reached 1 million 553 thousand 608 units, which is 47% higher than in 2023. 140,292 units were sold in the light commercial vehicle category, which grew by 34% compared to last year. In the freight transport category, 121,562 units were sold, which is 13% lower than last year's figures. Bus sales also increased by 16% compared to 2023, to 20,567 units.
