In 2024, couriers proved to be more in demand in the market than programmers

According to the results of a joint study of the job search platform and employees hh.ru and the transport company PECK, in 2024, the salaries of couriers in Russia exceeded the level of payment for IT specialists. The median salary for delivery workers increased to 115.6 thousand rubles per month for the period from January to November. In November, their income was higher than that of medical workers (88 thousand rubles), teachers (47 thousand rubles), as well as information technology specialists (114 thousand rubles).

Couriers overtook logistics and foreign trade managers (79.5 thousand rubles), design specialists (70 thousand rubles), accountants (62.3 thousand rubles) and journalists (50.4 thousand rubles) in terms of remuneration. This state of affairs is due to a shortage of personnel in the field of delivery: from January to November, the number of open courier positions increased by about 36%, while the number of resumes decreased by 9%.
