In February 2025, car sales in Russia decreased by 29%

March, 6. /MEDIA TALK/. According to the reports of Autostat Info, the number of registered new cars in February amounted to 90,336 units, having decreased by 29% compared to the same period last year.

The largest declines were observed in the bus (-69%) and truck (-46%) sectors. Sales of passenger cars decreased by 26%, pickups by 12%, and light commercial vehicles by 27%. In just two months of 2025, the cumulative decrease in sales of new vehicles reached 14%.

In February 2025, the used car market showed a decrease to 481,245 units compared to the previous year, a decrease of 7%. In January-February 2025, the number of cars sold increased by 3%, amounting to 976,014 units.
