In Russia, champagne production increased by almost a third in 2024
September 9th. /MEDIA TALK/. On Monday, September 9, it became known that in eight months of this year, champagne production in Russia increased to 9.2 million decaliters. This is 31.6% more than in the same period of 2023, Interfax reported, citing Rosalkogoltabakcontrol.

The production of still wines increased to 21.3 million dal, or 9.5%. The highest rates of output growth were recorded in the liquor sector — 825.9 thousand, which is almost 1.6 times more.

Vodka companies increased production by 2.7% to 48.4 million dal, cognac — by 17.8% to 5.95 million.

In total, 116.9 million liters of alcohol were produced in Russia in January-August (excluding beer, cider, etc.). The result exceeded last year's by 8.5%.

Recall, last week it was reported that beer from North Korea would begin to be imported into the Russian Federation. Later it turned out that erroneous information was entered in the declaration, and the supplied products were manufactured in China.
