November 11th. /MEDIA TALK/.According to Nikoliers experts, the geography of online platforms' demand for warehouses is changing. If two years ago 70% of the total demand was in Moscow and the region, then in the 3rd quarter of this year the indicator fell by 2 times, the focus shifted to the cities with millions of people.

Today, apart from the Moscow and St. Petersburg agglomeration, the Volga Federal District is the most in demand among online retailers, 18% of all lease and purchase transactions of warehouse facilities have been concluded there. It includes Samara (326 thousand square meters), Nizhny Novgorod (278 thousand square meters), Kazan (264 thousand square meters), Saratov (241 thousand square meters), Ufa (153 thousand square meters) and other cities. They play both the role of sales markets for companies and logistics hubs.

A further increase in interest in warehouse facilities in the regions is expected, which is accompanied by an overall increase in consumer activity of marketplace customers.
