Income from cryptocurrencies will begin to be taxed

November 26th. /MEDIA TALK/. Today, the State Duma immediately adopted the law on taxation of transactions with digital currencies in the second and third readings. The personal income tax rate of 13% and 15% will be applied to the income of individuals from such activities with an annual income above 2.4 million rubles. At the same time, transactions with cryptocurrencies will be exempt from VAT.

The income of organizations from mining is subject to income tax at the standard rate of 25% from 2025. The law will come into force after approval by the Federation Council and signing by the President.
