Italy has become the main supplier of sparkling wines to Russia, displacing Latvia from this position. The volume of Russian purchases reached 92.2 million dollars from January to September. At the same time, imports from Latvia amounted to 59.7 million dollars.
Supplies from Lithuania in the amount of $15.5 million are in third place. Imports from this country have fallen by 64%. Poland ($12.6 million) and Spain ($4.8 million) are also among the leaders in sparkling wine shipments.

The top ten suppliers included Armenia ($3.2 million), Azerbaijan ($1.3 million), Germany ($1.2 million), Georgia ($1.1 million) and France ($1 million), RIA Novosti reports.
