Kommersant: in the summer, the pace of buying clothes in Russia decreased by 10%
September 10th. /MEDIA TALK/. On Tuesday, September 10, it became known that this summer in Russia, the volume of clothes and shoes sold decreased by 10% compared to the same season in 2023. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to data from Focus Technologies.

The organization explained that the number of buyers in the shopping center fell by only 2% over the same period. The turnover of fashion stores increased by 5% against the background of a 17% increase in the average receipt.

The media noted that the behavior of buyers is affected by rising inflation expectations. Against this background, retail chains began to close some of their outlets. In addition, Focus Technologies believes that the reason for the decline in sales may be increased competition in the industry.

Recall that at the end of August it was reported that there were twice as many clothing brands from Turkey in the Russian Federation. At the same time, domestic companies in the field are currently developing the fastest in the country.
