Marketplaces have received an order from the Federal Antimonopoly Service to organize sales
February 4th. /MEDIA TALK/. Ozon and Wildberries are analyzing the warning of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation regarding the system for connecting sellers to participate in sales.

Today, the FAS sent warnings to Ozon and Wildberries due to the fact that they had previously made adjustments to the rules for promotions on their platforms: goods were sold at discounted prices and automatically entered the sales section without prior agreement with sellers at their expense. From the agency's point of view, such measures pose a significant threat to businessmen, as they deprive them of the opportunity to control the cost of their own products.

The FAS demanded that companies develop a clear procedure for including suppliers in discount promotions by February 28, 2025. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the platforms.

At the end of November, sellers of online platforms, through the International Association for the Development of Marketplaces and Entrepreneurs, appealed to the Federal Antimonopoly Service with a request to check marketplaces for violations of competition law due to coercion by platforms to participate in automatic discount promotions.
