Money was found in Abkhazia for salaries of state employees
December 11th. /MEDIA TALK/. The Russian Government did not respond to the request of the acting head of the Government of Abkhazia, Valery Bganba, to resume financing public sector salaries, suspended in September. The official informed TASS that there was no response to the telegram to Mikhail Mishustin dated December 9. Bganba asked to resume subsidies for salaries and allowances, as well as electricity payments. Since September, Russia has suspended, and since November it has completely stopped all types of social support, except pensions.

Abkhazia purchases electricity from Russia at a commercial price. Since the beginning of November, restrictions have been imposed for four hours, after the emergency shutdown of IngurGES on December 11, the light is turned on for less than 3 hours during the daytime (at night - there is light), writes TASS.

It also became known today that the Administration of Abkhazia has found resources to pay public sector employees, a few days ago they said that there were no funds for this. RIA Novosti writes about this. Acting head of the financial department Vladimir Delba announced the transfer of 230 million rubles from the budget of the republic from December 9 to 11 for salaries of law enforcement agencies, tax and migration services, as well as customs. 81 million rubles have been allocated from local budgets to pay for work in healthcare, education and culture.

Earlier, the Abkhaz authorities refused to ratify the agreement on the implementation of investment projects by Russian legal entities on the territory of Abkhazia.

Despite the political crisis, Abkhazia remains a popular destination for Russian tourists. We wrote about it in more detail here.
