More than 5 million entrepreneurs have received state support within the framework of the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship"

December 26th. /MEDIA TALK/. In Russia, over 5 million businessmen have received assistance under the National Project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative," the Ministry of Economic Development said, summing up the five-year results of the project.

The state support system provides for the provision of tax benefits, minimizing business inspections, simplifying the process of obtaining permits, as well as special financial, property and infrastructural forms of support.

There are currently 6.57 million small and medium–sized businesses operating in Russia, the highest number since 2016. The number of specialists working in this field has reached 29.45 million people. The total income of small and medium-sized enterprises has increased by 75% since 2019. Financial assistance mechanisms have been created and implemented: anti-crisis programs, umbrella guarantees, preferential microloans, grant support.

The multifunctional support system for small and medium-sized businesses includes 90 industrial and technoparks, 50 Special Economic zones, 92 territories of advanced development, over 400 My Business centers and the digital platform of SME.RF. Since the beginning of 2024, Russian entrepreneurs have received almost 16 billion rubles of preferential microloans through the platform.
