Mortgage loans decreased by almost 40% in 2024%

13th of January. /MEDIA TALK/. According to VTB, the volume of mortgage loans in Russia reached 4.8 trillion rubles in 2024. This is 39% less than the result of the most successful 2023, when the volume of funds provided reached 7.8 trillion rubles. By the end of 2024, interest in housing loans in the country increased slightly – the volume of loans issued in December reached 270 billion rubles, which exceeds the November figure by 4%.

VTB provided 1 trillion rubles of mortgage loans directly in 2024, which is 30% lower than the result of 2023. The majority of transactions (over 60%) accounted for the "Family mortgage".

Earlier, we reported that the Ministry of Finance will exclude the mechanism of limits under the Family Mortgage program. For the next three years, the Federal Budget has allocated 1 trillion 449.4 billion rubles for this preferential housing program.
