NBKI: in July, the average amount of consumer credit in Russia decreased to 177.7 thousand rubles
August 22nd. /MEDIA TALK/. On Thursday, August 22, it became known that in July the average amount of consumer credit in the country amounted to 177.7 thousand rubles. This is 0.7% less than in the previous month, but 21.7% more than at the beginning of the year, the NBKI reported.

The bureau noted that Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region are among the top three leaders in terms of unsecured loans (312.6, 252.9 and 234.2 thousand rubles, respectively). Among the regions, the average check fell most noticeably in the Kemerovo region (-14.5%), increased in Tatarstan (+10.8%).

The bureau noted that in general, the indicator has stabilized at the level of 170-180 thousand rubles.

Recall that on the eve it was reported that the Russian authorities intend to discuss the possibility of reducing consumer loans. The media added that in the first half of 2024, the growth of the unsecured loan portfolio overtook the dynamics of mortgages.
