Most of the funds were spent on gifts for family and friends – the average amount was 29,868 rubles. Citizens spent 22,327 rubles on entertainment during the holidays (visits to theaters, restaurants, and children's events), while the average cost of groceries for the New Year's table was 12,244 rubles.

The average cost for men to celebrate was 83,450 rubles, while for women it was 48,731 rubles. 1,600 Russians aged 18 and over took part in the survey.
In 2023, this indicator was 38,493 rubles (in the previous, 2024, VTSIOM research was not conducted).
