Over 3 years, more than 100 billion rubles have been attracted to investment projects for the processing of household waste.
January 14th. /MEDIA TALK/. From 2021 to 2024, the Russian environmental Operator invested 57.83 billion rubles in the implementation of 19 solid waste recycling projects in 13 regions of the Russian Federation. The total cost of these projects has reached almost 105 billion rubles. The company has published such data on its official website today.

The designed and upgraded facilities include 7.66 million tons of processing capacity, 1.92 million tons of recycling capacity, and 2.25 million tons of municipal solid waste disposal capacity. In addition, the implementation of projects supported by REO has provided over 8,800 new vacancies. The purchase of bonds by investors also contributed to the implementation of projects in the Russian regions.

To fulfill the objectives of the National Project, by 2030, the REO plans further modernization of the infrastructure, which involves sorting the entire volume of municipal solid waste and disposing of no more than half of such waste.

At the end of December 2024, Rostec State Corporation launched a household waste power plant for the first time in the country.
