Ozon changes Cyprus jurisdiction to Russian one

December 28. /MEDIA TALK/. On December 27, 2024, the owners of the Ozon trading platform decided to change the place of registration from the island of Cyprus to the territory of the Russian Federation. The organization will be legally registered in a special administrative region on Oktyabrsky Island in the Kaliningrad region. The re-registration process is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

It is worth noting that moving to another jurisdiction will not affect Ozon's development plans and business operations, however, trading in the company's shares will be temporarily halted for several weeks. The organization assumes that after the completion of the re-registration process, securities trading will be restored on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The day before, the OK hypermarket chain announced the sale of the company's shares to its management, thus the company also transferred to the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation.
