Publishers of newspapers and magazines stop selling products through branches of the Russian Post
December 4th. /MEDIA TALK/. Several publishing houses immediately announced the termination of the supply of periodicals for sale through the branches of the Russian Post. We are talking about such newspapers and magazines as "Our History", "People's Council", "Mother-in-law's language", "Summer season", "Antenna-Telesem" and others. Vedomosti writes about this today with reference to a letter sent by publishers to distributors of their products.

According to representatives of publishing houses, sales through the Russian Post are becoming unprofitable. The final cost of periodicals for consumers in post offices consists of the selling price of the publishing house, the mark-up of distributors and the postal service itself. Changes to the first two positions must be confirmed by the Russian Post, but since the spring of 2024, the company refuses to consider proposals to increase them.

The other day we talked about the order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service issued to the Russian Post in connection with the denial of access to the company's database to other postal operators.
