Russia remains one of Georgia's main trading partners
November 6. /MEDIA TALK/. In the first 9 months of this year, Russia remained one of Georgia's most important trading partners. The volume of mutual trade amounted to $1.8 billion. This is reported by RIA Novosti, with reference to the data of the Georgian state service. At the same time, the indicator is 2.2% lower compared to last year, the newspaper notes.

Our country has also increased the purchase of Georgian wines to the maximum since 2009. In 9 months of 2024, deliveries totaling $146.9 million were made. The year-on-year growth was 14%.

According to the publication, at the moment Russia is the main market for Georgian wine, the share is 68.5%. The top five also include Poland (5.2%), Ukraine (4.1%), Kazakhstan (3.8%) and China (3.1%).

In addition, exports of mineral water from Georgia to Russia have significantly increased. In 9 months, it was brought by 25.7% more, the amount of supplies amounted to $ 61 million.

Recall that in the first 9 months of 2024, Georgia increased the purchase of Russian gas to a record $ 90.1 million.
