Russian cinemas collected more than 6 billion rubles in the first week of the year
January 9th. /MEDIA TALK/. The revenues of Russian cinemas from January 1 to January 8, 2025 crossed the threshold of 6 billion rubles. This is 200 million rubles higher than the figure for the same period in the previous year, when fees were in the amount of 5.8 billion. Such data is provided by Kommersant based on an analysis of information from the Unified Federal Automated Information System (UAIS) of the Cinema Foundation.

The largest fees (43% of the total cash register) They were provided with the movie "The Wizard of Oz. The Yellow Brick Road", the picture collected 2.6 billion rubles at the box office. The second position is occupied by "Finist. The first hero", which collected 1.9 billion rubles, which is 32% of all film collections of the week. The third position is occupied by the next episode of the film "Christmas Trees" (470 million rubles, 8% of the fees).

According to experts, the box office growth was mainly due to an increase in ticket prices: in Moscow, the average purchase amount in cinemas was 721 rubles, while across the country it was approximately 479 rubles. The number of viewers in the first week of January was 14.8 million, which is approximately the same as last year.
