Russian Mir maps will start working in Iran in 2025

As early as January 2025, Russian Mir users will be able to withdraw cash from Iranian ATMs, and by the end of 2025 they will be able to use it to pay in stores.

The completion of the technical integration of the payment systems of the two countries - Shetab and Mir - was officially announced in Tehran on Monday, November 11. The project has been in preparation since 2022. According to the Iranian news agency, Tasnim, in September, Iranian citizens could already withdraw money from Russian ATMs. To date, 4 Iranian banks are involved in the project.
