Russian online commerce showed 40% growth in 2024
December 26th. /MEDIA TALK/. The volume of online commerce in Russia increased by 40% in 2024 compared to 2023, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel. Manturov stressed that Russia occupies a leading position in this area.

The Deputy Prime Minister also said that the national trade market is also showing good results: sales amounted to about 60 trillion rubles, this sector provides about 13% of gross domestic product, and employs more than 13 million workers. Manturov also pointed to the growing number of trade facilities within the country.

According to the Association of Online Commerce Companies, from January to September 2024, customers purchased goods worth a total of 6.2 trillion rubles through online stores, 43% more than in the same period of 2023.
