Russian Railways reported an increase in freight traffic across the border with China by almost 19%

July 26th. /MEDIA TALK/.On Friday, July 26, it became known that in January-July 2024, cargo transportation through border crossings with China increased by 18.8%, to 20.2 million tons. This was reported by Russian Railways.

Imports reached 1.4 million, exports - 18.8 million tons. The results exceed those of last year by 3.6 and 20%, respectively.

Coal, iron ore and timber cargoes were mainly transported by rail, the Russian Railways added.

Recall that last week it was reported that goods from China are increasingly arriving in Russia by road. Logistics companies named the main reason for the congestion of the railway.
