It is noted that information materials describing financial services often do not provide data clearly and intelligibly enough. The regulator sent recommendations to financial institutions, in which it recalled the obligation of banks to post information without distorting the conditions for deposits and other products. Some credit institutions have already made changes to their work.
According to the Central Bank, in 2024, the amount of savings of Russian citizens in bank accounts increased by an unprecedented 11.9 trillion rubles, showing an annual growth of 26.1%. The total assets of the population in banks at the end of the year amounted to 57.5 trillion rubles.
