At the same time, the level of observed inflation (subjectively estimated by the respondent) was fixed at 15.9%. The results are based on a study conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation on behalf of the Bank of Russia.
Compared to November, inflation forecasts increased by 0.4% in December and almost reached their maximum in 2023, when the highest figure was 14.2%.

Prior to that, the record level was recorded in March 2022. Then the forecasts increased sharply from 13.5% to 18.3%. According to the results of the December surveys, respondents without savings had higher forecasts for inflation - 14.9%. At the same time, the survey participants with savings forecast an inflation rate of 12.7%.
Recall, according to Rosstat, annual inflation in December 2024 was equal to 9.5%.
According to the Central Bank's forecast, the annual inflation rate in the country will continue to increase and reach its maximum in April 2025.
