Russians received 21.9% fewer credit cards in October than at the beginning of the year
November 19. /MEDIA TALK/. In October, banks issued 15.9% fewer credit cards than in September and 21.9% less than in January 2024. This is data from the National Bureau of Credit Histories. Limits on "credit cards" are also decreasing, in October the volume amounted to 174.1 billion rubles (compared to September, a decrease of 11.3%).

The leaders in issuing credit cards are such regions as Moscow (118.2 thousand), Moscow Region (86.9 thousand), Krasnodar Territory (63.7 thousand), St. Petersburg (61.9 thousand) and Rostov Region (54.9 thousand). The least cards were issued in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (-27.3%), Kemerovo (-24.4%), Tyumen (-21.5%) and Irkutsk (-20.9%) regions and the Altai Territory (-20.7%). In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the percentage of issuance fell by 17.1% and 18.7%, respectively.
