St. Petersburg Stock Exchange reported a sevenfold increase in trading operations over the weekend
February 17th. /MEDIA TALK/. On February 15 and 16, the trading volume on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange reached 375.63 million rubles, which is 7.3 times higher than the figures of the previous week (51.36 million rubles on February 8 and 9).

According to the exchange, the number of concluded agreements increased 2.5 times to 27,310 against 10,927 in the previous weekend. The number of brokers has also grown to six.

At the same time, the Moscow Stock Exchange launched weekend trading in a test mode. In two days, investors submitted more than 100,000 applications and concluded over 75,000 transactions, RBC writes with reference to a representative of the site.

Testing will continue next weekend, and by March 1, 2025, the exchange plans to fully prepare the infrastructure for trading on non-business days. Trading sessions will be held from 09:50 to 19:00 Moscow time, however, settlements and clearing will be carried out already during the main trading hours, on the first business day after the weekend.
