T-bank warned about the possible failure of MasterCard and Visa cards

December 13th. /MEDIA TALK/. Starting from 2025, some payment terminals may stop accepting MasterCard and Visa cards issued by T-bank. Such data is contained in a letter to the customers of the credit institution, TASS reports.

Payment via the Internet using bank cards will be made as usual. To ensure reliable payments, the bank advises to get a card of the national payment system "Mir".

Earlier, RBC, citing market participants, reported that some banks will face the termination of chip security certificates for Visa and MasterCard cards by the end of 2024.
