To counteract such offenses, the regulator demanded that banks freeze accounts and restrict access to Internet banking to persons involved in the legalization of stolen funds, as well as temporarily suspend suspicious transactions for a period of two days. This led to the expected result, but the number of complaints about restrictions on access to transfers and accounts has more than doubled.
The Central Bank also recorded a decrease in the number of customer complaints about misseling (substitution of one product with another) and the imposition of additional services by banking institutions.
