Nabiullina added that with high inflation, there can be no sustainable economic growth. In addition, the opinion that the increased rate of price growth for goods and services can be kept in a certain corridor is an illusion. In this regard, the Central Bank intends to reduce the indicator to 4%, avoiding compromises, she noted.
Recall that at the end of last week, the Central Bank raised the forecast for inflation in the Russian Federation for 2024 to 8-8.5%. Previously, it was expected that the figure would be 6.5-7.0% per annum.
