During an extraordinary audit on December 25, 2024, a large shortage of funds was revealed, the Central Bank explained. If a financial institution starts forming reserves to eliminate this deficit, this will entail a complete loss of its capital, which creates risks for depositors.

The Central Bank terminated the powers of the governing structures of Garant-Invest and transferred the temporary management functions to the Deposit Insurance Agency. Customers will be able to receive a full refund of their financial resources, in the amount of up to 1.4 million rubles.
Garant-Invest has already become the sixth credit institution in the current year, deprived by the regulator of the right to conduct banking activities. Earlier, BKF Bank was left without a license, we wrote about this in more detail.
