The cost of arabica beans in world markets exceeded $7,900 per ton

This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to stock data. The price of the March futures for arabica reached the level of $3.51 per pound (1/2000 tons). Since January 1, 2025, the price of arabica beans has increased by more than 10%, and prices were stable in December.

Over the past year, according to the Trading Economics portal, the increase in the cost of coffee on world markets has amounted to more than 87%. The main factor was the poor coffee harvest in the previous season, caused by unfavorable climatic conditions in Brazil and Vietnam, countries providing a significant share of global supplies.
