When using beef meat, the cost of products increased by 28% in December and exceeded 90 rubles per liter, a set with pork increased in price by 25% to 78 rubles, with chicken - by 31.6% and amounted to 68 rubles per 1 liter of soup. At the same time, products for cooking borscht are much cheaper in large retail chains compared to other stores. For example, the cost of buying a borscht set with beef in December was twice as low as with pork by one third.
According to Rosstat, by the end of 2024, potatoes topped the list of the most expensive products. Its price has increased by about 92% compared to 2023.
