Bitcoin reached its lowest value at $91,242.89, which is the lowest in at least the last three weeks. The second most popular cryptocurrency unit, Ethereum, fell by 27% to $2,135, which is the most significant decline since May 2021. The total value of cryptocurrency assets decreased by about $360 billion on February 3.
Investors are afraid that the increase in duties will lead to a slowdown in the economic development of the United States, a reduction in corporate profitability and increased inflationary pressures.

At 18:30, the bitcoin exchange rate on the Binance exchange has almost recovered and stands at $98,391.93, having lost less than 0.5% per day. Ethereum is worth $2,626.38, with losses of over 14%. According to experts, cryptocurrencies have high volatility, so last week the bitcoin exchange rate lost 7 thousand dollars in a few hours ahead of the announcement of new decisions by the US Government on market regulation.
